The Schneider Corporation Announces Midwest GIS Seminar Series
Seminars show local government organizations how to use GIS solutions
to improve efficiencies
INDIANAPOLIS (June 10, 2010) – Local governments interested in learning how to effectively use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to benefit their operations can attend a free seminar sponsored by The Schneider Corporation this June and July in locations throughout the Midwest.
The seminar series, titled "X Marks The Spot: A treasure trove of GIS solutions for local governments," will include a two-hour presentation of case studies from more than 10 different county and municipal governments that deployed creative GIS solutions in a variety of areas including public safety, cost savings/efficiency, finding revenue and asset inventory. Case studies will focus on problems the local governments needed to solve, the solutions they deployed, and the results they have achieved.
The seminar series will be presented at four locations: Davenport, Iowa (June 28), Faribault, Minn. (June 29), Elk Point, S.D. (June 30) and Kansas City (July 1). Details on locations and registration information can be found at http://www.schneidercorp.com/x/.
