Data is captured and maintained in the system. Schneider Project Featured as Case Study on Statewide Organization's Website
Schneider's project for the Town of Fishers, Indiana was recently featured as a noteworthy example of a creative use of a GIS system by the Indiana Geographic Information Council. This goal for this project was to help the growing Town of Fishers to meet their increased public safety needs and to maintain their fire department’s coverage time. Schneider analyzed up-to-date centerline data, as well as actual runtime data from the fire department, to determine the number of additional fire stations that would need to be built and the optimal locations that would provide the best coverage for an 8 minute response time across their constituency.
To read more about this project, visit http://www.in.gov/igic/realworld/hsfire.html.
